It’s always fun to come across auctions for an early Turbo, and I pay close attention to any 1975 that pops up. I had a blast watching this beautiful example sell – https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1975-porsche-930-turbo-2/
Chassis 238 was completed in April 1975, so it was manufactured soon after mine. The car was delivered new to Mexico and remained there until it was imported to the US in 2016. The car is finished in black over black leather with tartan upholstery and was refurbished between 2017 and 2024.
The auction opened strong, and then stalled until the last 10 minutes or so. I happened to be online as the auction was closing, and it was exciting to see three or four serious bidders trying to take it home. In the end it sold for $371K which I think was well bought. I know I’m biased, but these true homologation examples should be $500K+ cars and I think they will be.
