Towards the end of the bodywork and paint stage, I got this wild idea to swap between the original whaletail and a ducktail on the 930. I know…it wouldn’t go over well with the purists and doesn’t match my “everything must be perfectly original” ethos…but I just freaking love a ducktail on a 911! In the end, I decided against putting the ducktail on the car, so I turned it into beautiful wall art for my office. Now I can always look over my shoulder, and see a stunning ice green metallic ducktail, as a reminder of this multi-year restoration project.
